long time no pics

Here's for you, Trisha...I haven't ever posted pictures of Decker.  Yes, he is cute but I'm not attached.  I do remember to feed him and we play with him...kids daily...me, often!  Decker loves the cat, Landry.  He likes to walk on top of her and chew her ear...she spends most of her days sleeping under the grill....did I mention they are both outside animals now!  Landry wasn't too happy with the idea but I think she's gotten use to it.

We have been studying bones and how useful they are....along with the creativity of our Lord to design them in a way to repair themselves, etc. etc.....we made people out of clay and tried standing them up but they wouldn't hold their form.  So, we put toothpicks into them to act as bones and waaaalaaaah....from right to left: Brett's, Momma's, Parker's.

The boys have made up what they call "Super Brothers" where they fight lava monsters.  You can see that they get very creative; Crew has mittens on his feet.  Brett said that there are different levels and they killed all the lava monsters so now they have become the Lost Boys and are fighting ice creatures such as panda bears and "stuff like that."  (He is loving reading Peter Pan with his Mimi.)  They are warriors at heart and Crew is always quoting the mouse on Prince Caspian saying, "you people have no imagination" then he jabs with his imaginary sword.  I love these boys and I love how God created them to be protectors and strong warriors ready for battle at a moments notice.
Warriors they are...but they can still be silly.  See what happens when you leave accessories around.
I had to give him all of my money to be able to take this picture!

We are definitely out-numbered when it comes to warriors vs. princesses but this one girl and all her princessness makes it pretty even.  She is a hoot and we love her too.  I'm glad that God created her with a sweet, motherly spirit even at two...so delicate of a heart.....I'm praying for her to have friends that are passionate about Jesus, friends that will lead her on in becoming a young lady after God's own heart.

Ah...how sweet is that!?? See all the wonderful things we would miss if we sent them off for someone else to educate them!! It's so fun having those silly times and creating things while the lesson is going on. I've really learned a lot this year and I just started ;)! And yes Kate, I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for those tenderhearted girls!! Surely they'll learn how to share before to long!!
