not sleepy

I let the big boys stay up late under the condition that they look at or read a book on the couch.  Brett brought his shark book to me and said, "I really don't want to look at my book, can you read the Bible to me? Will you read in James?"  Well, I of course was happy to read and as I was half way into chapter one he said, "that was our VBS verse!"  I'm so thankful for little signs of affirmation that God is putting all these things into their hearts.

We've had a very eventful weekend, my inbox is full, laundry is piled high, dishes are pouring out of the sink and I'm striving to be the Proverbs 32 wife....you know, the one that decided it's too much work to be the Proverbs 31 wife so she just settles for doing absolutely nothing productive...that's me right now.

One of the highlights of my year is to visit with The Kratky Family.  You can see another picutre of our little blessings on her blog.  It's hard to find good, godly friends that encourage you to be better.  I'm thankful for these guys.  You can see the picture from a couple of years ago here....my how we have grown! Tatum-2, Parker-8, Laney-19months, Brett-6, Crew-4, Kate-2 and Avery-5.  Can't wait to see the picture next year.
This is the snapshot we took this past weekend at the anniversary celebration for Brandon's g-parents....60 years!  Crazy, huh?  What's even crazier to me.....all of my kids are smiling!  Granted, a few are fake smiles but they are smiles nonetheless.

I have a gazillion pictures but here are a few until I am able to sort through them. Bebe went with us to NASA....3 out of my 4 kids are hoodlums and my hubby thinks he has to wear his highschool football face for some reason.  Bebe and Brett are normal (here anyway!!!)

Kate was very cooperative for pictures as you can see.  I think this is the only picture of me the entire weekend so I'll take what I can get.  Oh, there are a few pics of my ankles and more of my backside and elbows thanks to my little photographer wannabe chitlins.  I like this one best even if Katerie is being a stink.

more to come.....
