2 down

Two days down, another 14 or so more years to go before they spread their wings and fly.  Thankfully the Lord has put the following verse before my eyes these two days; do not grow weary in doing good!

First day pictures....

Little Miss Kate lugs her sleeping bag EVERYWHERE around the house.  When she wants me to hold her, she expects to be held with baby and sleeping bag in tow.  Parker was excited to begin this year.  He's an eager beaver at most things, a sloth at a few.  Crew chose to stay home with Momma this year instead of going to Parent's Day Out twice a week.  He is thrilled to be wearnin' and is so proud of himself.  He has been such a blessing the past few days.  Brett was the most excited to start this week and blames his need for review on me for not teaching him anything in a month!  I think he needs a Momma date and some one-on-one.

We talked about cells today and as we were drawing the Mighty Mitochondria I asked what our body uses to burn energy?  Crew must have heard the word "burn" because he shouted, "WOOD!"  I am loving this science curriculum so far.

Kate had her first day of Parent's Day Out today.  She gave her "brudders" kisses and hugs, trotted off to class like a big girl, gave me kisses and went off to play.  After three leg-huggers, it was nice to drop her off, wave good bye and leave knowing she started off having fun!

We had Sunday School Promotion the other week, it's strange...first time in eight years that I don't have a kid in the nursery on Sunday mornings!  I'm hoping the big girls at school will motivate Kate to tee tee in the potty consistently.
